The Sankara Suites and Villas by Pramana

What a lovely hotel, the riverside location was just wonderful. The complimentary phot shoot a real novelty and great entertainment on offer.

Having arrived late at night following an 18 hour flight, we were greeted by a complimentary dinner in the room. From the start, the staff were amazing - throughout our stay they would greet us each time we arrived/left, help us out with all of our needs and always speak to us as we walked about the hotel. We have never stayed at such a friendly hotel - the nicest staff you could imagine! The room was gorgeous - being our honeymoon, the honeymoon package left the room feeling romantic. Each day, it was cleaned to a high standard. The bed was comfy and the room (with the balcony overlooking a spectacular forest view) was luxurious. Sankara also provided everything we needed from toiletries and bathroom essentials to lovely fresh fruit and refreshments. Our two highlights, in addition to the room and general aesthetic of the hotel, was the pool side (very relaxing with a great bar!) and the Laddu Restaurant. Breakfast was served each day (3 courses) with a wide variety of set menus from contingental to traditional Indonesian for 150K IDR each - great value for money! Each evening there were multi-course themed dinners - we loved the BBQ night and the Balinese Dancing night. There’s also a great spa - we enjoyed our two hour treatment with the flower petal bath! Only 15 minutes from Ubud Centre, it’s a perfect location. You can get a grab for 50k IDR, or use the free hotel shuttle at various points in the day. We love Sankara and will be sure to return! The perfect stay for the first week of our Bali Honeymoon.

The property is located a short distance away from the bustle of central Ubud. It isn’t a huge hotel but there is lots of lush greenery so really has that jungle feeling without being in the middle of nowhere. The thing that stands out the most about this property is the staff, they are so friendly and attentive. We were on our honeymoon so we’re lucky enough to receive an upgrade to our room which made our trip extra special. The hotel runs a free shuttle into Ubud town centre which on a good run takes 15 minutes, on a bad run can take up to an hour.

EVERYTHING!!! This place is magical. HIGHLY recommend it to all. The staff were so friendly and helpful, informing us of all the place has to offer and events happening each day. The food was delicious too- especially the breakfasts! There is a FREE shuttle into town which was so handy. We got a free photo shoot with 1 free photo too, there was live entertainment, great cocktails...the list goes on! The Spa was an amazing experience too- we took the honeymoon package & enjoyed a relaxing massage, foot & body scrub following by a romantic flower bath with wine. Absolute heaven :) Couldn't have asked for a better start to our honeymoon. Will absolutely stay here again!

Massages at the hotel's spa were great. Staff in all departments were very nice, good service and very attentive. Rooms were promptly cleaned each day. Pool was clean but could do with a few extra sunbeds. Not enough for all the guests. Breakfast was great, plenty to choose from.
